Wood Green School
Students selected various locations around their towns that they use, either socially or individually (for example, parks, local monuments, shopping areas). They made field audio recordings of these spaces and took 360 degree ‘still’ images of them, which they knitted together in Photoshop. Students also collected sound and video recordings from "virtual" landscapes in their lives. Pupils are now working, with the artist, to create a grid of projected, scrolling images and sound, which will reflect their "real" and "virtual" environments.

Pupils are communicating with their partner school in Baltimore via email, texts, and Skype. They are comparing and contrasting their personal and social environments through their artwork. The outcome will be a collaborative digital media artwork to be exhibited simultaneously at MY… exhibition, Modern Art Oxford, Sept 2008, and in Baltimore.
