Wild Waste Show

The fantastic Wild Waste Show, run by the Northmoor Trust and funded by Oxfordshire Waste Partnership, will visit your school to teach pupils about waste reduction, reuse and recycling.
The Wild Waste Show team offer a range of activities for different age groups from the lunchbox challenge (to encourage reducing waste in lunchboxes) to making bee hotels from recycled materials.
They ask for a voluntary donation of £1 or a bottle of vegetable oil per pupil, to help with running costs ... as the bus has recently been converted to run on vegetable oil.
The bus gets booked up quickly so to avoid disappointment ring well in advance of planning a visit. Email wildwasteshow@northmoortrust.co.uk.
Free outreach support
This is available to both primary and secondary schools from the Wild Waste Show team. Help can be given to set up recycling and composting schemes and to look at ways of reducing waste in school.
Lessons can be arranged along with assemblies and trips to landfill sites and recycling centres. Support may also be available to schools wishing to run waste or environmental cirriculum days.
To book either the primary or secondary Outreach Officer email wwsoutreach@northmoortrust.co.uk or ring 01865 409403.
