Mobile libraries

Find out the timetable for the five mobile libraries serving people in towns, villages and remote rural areas.
Shelves of books

Serving over 520 stops around the county, Oxfordshire’s mobile libraries bring a wide range of books and information for adults and children in local communities. All mobile libraries are free to library members and are easy access for those who find steps difficult.

You can use the same library card on the mobile library and all our other libraries, and borrow books from a mobile for an extra week (four weeks instead of three). You can also request any item for a small charge.

If you would like to use the mobile library but aren’t yet a member, join now online and we will post your library card to you.

The Mobile Library Service team is committed to providing high quality library services for the people of Oxfordshire. If you have any comments, queries or suggestions, please email us.

Your mobile library area

Click on the map below to view the full timetable for your area. When you have found your nearest stop, look up the time, day and week number, then open or download the 2009 mobile library calendar (pdf, 20Kb). Some mobile library stops fall close to boundary lines and you may need to check two or more timetables.

Alternatively, consult the alphabetical list (pdf format, 555Kb) before looking at the mobile library calendar.
